We posted and pestered and prodded and partnered with other charities ....
And in the end, we had 1788 votes in support of our work ....
And we WON $20,000!!!!!
Thank you to all of our supporters and friends. The Chase Community Giving prize money of $20,000 will be matched with a generous matching donation from the Carson Foundation, for a total of $40,000 to make a difference in Guatemala. The money will be used to rebuild a school that was destroyed in the recent mudslides during Tropical Storm Agatha. If there are funds remaining, they will be applied to another school building project.
100% of the $40,000 (as with all donations made to Miracles in Action) will go toward projects. Administrative overhead is funded by the sale of Guatemalan handicrafts.
